With a classical training background Tom found his love is in folk music, which has seen him performing in Australia and around the Central Highlands area for over 60 years. Following in the footsteps of his grandfather, his musicianship has also been transferred to his children and grandchildren, making them the 5th generation of musicians performing at concerts in the area. Tom is also represented in the Archives in Canberra for his musicianship and knowledge of Settlers Music where he has recorded the early settlers tunes. Through his great love and support to music and the encouragement of other musicians, both young and old, we are delighted that Tom has agreed to be our Patron.”

Margaret Pell – Treasurer
“Music produces a kind of pleasure which human nature cannot do without.”
“MITCH has already in such a short time brought much pleasure to those of us lucky enough to live in the Central Highlands. Wonderful local artists, both established and emerging have performed in magical settings. It is a great privilege to be asked to join the Committee in the role of Treasurer. As a resident of Kyneton, I look forward very much to using my administrative and accountancy skills to continue the work of Ross Collier in ensuring the financial accountability of MITCH as it continues to raise funds to foster and encourage the wonderful young musical talent in our area.”
Marg has served with MITCH since January 2014
Susie Kilby – Secretary
“Having recently joined the MITCH committee, I’m delighted to be additionally involved in the planning and development of the MITCH vision. Hosting the 2012/13 Winter concerts at our home in East Trentham has brought an unexpected richness to life at HillHouse. The playing and listening to music was always encouraged by my father an accomplished trumpet player, an aunt a professional pianist and early life gatherings always around the piano. From aged 7 classical piano lessons, flute in adult life and now cello in my 6th decade. I see myself always a student of music, listening, playing and extending the known boundaries. It remains a constant and joyful challenge.Encouraging this in the lives of young people by supporting pathways to learning and performance is a new and exciting endeavour. Working with a passionate and active committee, with young people performing alongside seasoned local musicians is an exciting endeavour I feel privileged to be contributing to.”
Susie has served with MITCH since January 2014.
