Winter Concert Duo 2014 – Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th July

2014 has been a year of experiments for MITCH.

After our Family Summer Picnic Concert and The Next Generation Concert in Autumn, here we are again with our Winter Concert with another bold experiment.

Due to the demand for our Winter Concert in previous years, and in consideration of our patrons’ comfort, the MITCH committee and the musicians have agreed to present two Winter Concert performances. Bookings are now open to attend either the

  • Saturday 19th July 2014 Winter Concert Day 1
  • Sunday 20 of July 2014 Winter Concert Day 2

Seats are limited to 80 for each performance.

Once again our wonderful hosts from previous Winter concerts Susie Kilby and Roland Dietz have agreed to open their home at ” Hill House” 290 Persons Road, East Trentham.

Our Winter Concert will take on its traditional form of classical and contemporary music and will be performed by :

  • Malcolm Cole – Piano,
  • Kristen Leich – Soprano,
  • Sue Morris – Flute,
  • Henry Vyhnal – Violin,
  • Samuel Thorpe – Double Bass,
  • Joe Tiralosi – Piano Accordion,
  • Sue Kilby – Cello,
  • Colin Fox – Clarinet

Kristen Leich, Soprano – will be performing selected works from Mozart, Reynaldo Hahn & Benjamin Britain.

Young Performers

Each performance will present a different featured Young Performer.

Saturday 19th July, will see pianist Cooper Harwood – who at the age of 11 is a regular performer and prize winner at Royal South Street and Bendigo Eisteddfod. His teacher is Bron Sozanski.

Cooper Harwood – our Saturday Young Performer will be performing Janine Yeagar, Bela Bartok & Lawrence Whiffin,

On Sunday 20th July, we will see violinist Meredith Barbon. Meredith is a Year 12 student at Sacred Heart college Kyneton who has been playing violin since early primary school. Her teacher is Heather Cummins.

The concert will commence at 2.30pm sharp so it is recommended that you arrive at 2.00pm. There will be a 20 minute interval with light refreshments served.


Bookings are for either the Saturday 19th July or Sunday 20th July 2014.

As we have limited seats of 80 for both performances, those first to confirm their bookings by responding to this invitation will have the first chance of securing seats. In case anyone who has booked is suddenly unable to attend, we will have a waiting list for those seats. Please let us know if you are happy to go on that waiting list.

We will also request payment to be made directly into the MITCH bank account, details provided on booking or via website at  under contact & payment section.


$25 Adults,
$20 – Pensioners & Students (WITH PENSIONER/STUDENT CARD PLEASE)
$10 Children under 15 years.
